Little Adventure: San Fran

09.14.2011

I can’t believe it has been 2 months since my trip to San Francisco. I came across these photos today and I couldn’t help but feel a little home sick for the US. If I did decide to move back to the states, San Fran would be my 1st choice.

My boy friend and I of course did all the tourist type things you would expect. We drove fast over the giant hills, watched for cable cars, ate at In-N-Out Burger by Fisherman’s Wharf, and had traditional irish coffees at the famous Buena Vista (I highly recommend this, but go in the afternoon. I had this alcoholic beverage at 9 am and it about knocked me on my ass).

A must see spot is Chinatown. I love this neighbourhood because there are of course touristy things to see, but I most enjoyed the bright buildings and colorful decorations that lined the street. Great for cheap shopping as well and yummy green tea.

By day 3, we had seen all the sites, so we headed to Tartine in the Castro and had amazing pastries and coffee. This banana cream tart was outstanding. We also had dinner one night at Bix which I also highly recommend. The wine bars in San Fran as well are excellent.

I can’t wait to go back and explore this vibrant city again. Hell, maybe I will even move there one day…..
