I had the pleasure of hosting a bridal shower for my friend Jess at the beautiful Burnt Orange in Mosman on Saturday. After all of my preparation and planning, the real star of the day had to the beautifully executed food and decor of this quaint restaurant. Styled after Avoca (the Irish company that makes those beautiful blankets), this cafe reminds me almost of an old southern restaurant you would find in Savannah, Georgia (Paula Dean would just eat this place up).

This was my favorite dish of the day, the praline and mascarpone cheesecake with brandy snap – simply divine.
