Interview with 2012 Clinque It Girl Bonnie Gillies

1. Why did you decide to enter the 2012 Clinique It Girl search?

I had been posting about the ‘It guy’ on my blog and it looked like it would be a fun and interesting task. I’m a little beauty obsessed so I am always up for learning about different products.

 

2. Name your 2 favorite Clinique products and why you love them so much.

In the finalist task I reviewed the Clinique gradient blusher, and I really loved it. It’s a 2 toned blush which offers you a highlighter and a shader in one, so you can create beautiful sculpted cheekbones. And I’d have to say I love the Clinique Super Rescue Night Cream its full of anti-oxidants and is pretty light weight. I’ve just run out though! Might need to ask for some more…

 

3. What are 3 beauty items you can’t live without? (what would we find in your handbag)

Lip Balm, Bright Lipstick (pink, orange and red always in handbag), and sunscreen.

 

4. Why are you the new It Girl? What sets you apart from other Australian girls?

I think of my self as a regular beauty consumer, I want to share my experiences with different beauty products and give people tips, tricks and tell them about great products that I have come across to make life easier. I’ve been a make-up artist for 10 years now, I’ve worked on models and feature films (including The Da Vinci Code and Harry Potter), so I guess I have developed techniques to make make-up for everyday women easier and to keep them inspired and get a little creative with their make-up. Too many women get stuck in the same make-up routine year in year out.

 

5. In your free time, you would be…..

 

Lying on the beach, with my family, or having a glass of wine and a nice meal with my husband.
