Here are my favrotie primers to try out yourself. Just apply before using foundation on clean, dry skin.

 

1. Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer: This is a girls great first primer because it’s light, simple, and to be used not only under foundation but preferably under bronzer and powder. If you are feeling a bit iffy about using a primer, I would try this one first till you get the hang of it.

 

2. Bare Escentuals bareVitamins Prime Time: The easy to use pump is not the only reason this primer is great. I like to use this when I am going for a lighter look or if I am using mineral make up. You can also apply this to your eyelids and it will help to hold eye shadow.

 

3. Smashbox Photo Finish Primer: My friend Mandy actually recommended this to me and who wouldn’t love all of the antioxidants in this baby! Mandy also advised that this primer is perfect to use for a night out when you want to have perfect make up all night long and in the photos you post on facebook (hence the name, photo finish).

 

4. Nars Makeup Primer SPF 20: With a name like Nars, you know the product is going to be good. But the real reason this made my list of primers is the SPF 20 packed into it. It makes sense! What a great way to start your day by protecting your skin from the harsh sun. Brilliant.

 

5. Napoleon Perdis Auto-Pilot Primer: Hands down one of my FAVORITE primers ever. Mr. Perdis has a famous expression, ” Not to prime is a crime!” and he is so right. This primer does it all. It is light weight, feels great, and keeps my make up on with out clogging my pores. I just adore it.

 

6. Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Hydrating: I actually first tried this when I found it in my mom’s bathroom! It makes since considering this type of primer is for older women or women who need a more hydrating primer. It is water based so it goes on incredibly sheer.
