Coffee table books are fun to read on a rainy day and look beautiful on well…coffee tables or bookshelves. The con is they weigh a ton! and are hard to move or ship. Say you move from NYC to L.A like I did you might need to re-consider which ones to pack. The following are my five favorite girly books. However, I must confess the only one I dragged out to L.A. is In The Pink. The rest are waiting for me to collect.
Etiquette by Emily Post
A great wedding or graduation gift, all of my best friends own a copy. It’s just one of those things that every girl needs.
Elizabeth Taylor: My Love Affair with Jewelry
Liz Taylor’s jewelry collection is the real deal. This book is full of amazing up close pictures and the stories behind her most famous pieces.
Manners by Kate Spade
A perfect book for a high school graduation. Short and easy to read, I have lent this book to many of my friends for a quick manner’s refresher. Kate Spade Style and Occasions are also great books. I think you can buy all three as a set.
Vogue Living: Houses, Gardens, People
Beautiful photo’s – one of the best picture books around.
In The Pink: Dorothy Draper America’s Most Fabulous Decorator
It’s so inspiring to see America’s best interior design projects from the 1930’s – 1960’s.
